About Us
In 1997 Kevin was inspired by a desire to improve versatility and safety in the post driving market. Traditional post drivers can only be operated from the rear of a tractor and incorporate a potentially dangerous exposed driving weight.
So after a year of development in 1998 the Postpuncher was born.
He at Chalke Valley Engineering we recognised that many of today’s farmers and contractors had a requirement for a safer post driver that could be mounted on telehandlers, loadalls, back hoes, mini excavators and skidsteers. With its enclosed driving weight and universal mounting option, Postpuncher has met and exceeded these demands. Designed, manufactured and distributed by Chalke Valley Engineering, Postpuncher is a unique and highly innovative post driver made to the highest quality standards using British products and British steel. Kevin Meade
Brings the technical expertise and holds the patents and designs on many of the Chalke Valley product range. Calling on many years of experience in the plant, agricultural and engineering industry he is very much the driving force behind Chalke Valley Engineering. Kevin also runs a separate business www.cannonblast.co.uk producing replica medieval cannons.
Nick Meade
The Commercial Director of our Company is Nick Meade, his experience with start up companies or as in our case moving to the next level is proving extremely valuable. Since February 2019 he has been working with our technical and marketing team to re-establish our market share. He was also involved with the launch of the Postpuncher when it was originally released onto the market.
